The data we collect will help us create a full picture of how environmental hazards impact health in Jamaica, Queens. This information will be used to:
Support environmental justice by highlighting how certain neighborhoods have been unfairly burdened by pollution, poor housing, and unsafe conditions. The findings will help us advocate for cleaner environments and safer living conditions for everyone, especially in areas that have been neglected for too long.
Address historical disinvestment by showing where the community has been overlooked or under-resourced. We will use this data to push for increased investment in infrastructure, health services, and community-led initiatives in neighborhoods that need it most.
Empower our community: The data will help residents and local leaders advocate for stronger policies that prioritize health, safety, and fairness, ensuring that our voices are heard in decision-making processes.
